If you were to ask me what is a good tool for businesspeople to use to get their feet wet with social media I would respond "LinkedIn." LinkedIn is the online version of what we try to do in face to face business networking. It is the opportunity to connect with people that your connections know, to find a "path" to getting an introduction to a business that you would like to market to, and a way to help others learn more about what you do. You are also able to research companies and find out if you have a connection or just learn more about what they do in order to market to them better. I personally have used it to find subject matter experts for my business, have made important business connections, done research for presentations and monitor what is going on with my networking con-nections.
